WYOMING EAST opened in 1998-1999 as a consolidation of Mullens and
Pineville High Schools. Mullens was the only school in the county with
wrestling. Though Wyoming East has not had any championships, Mullens
has two. Mike King 145lb in 1985, 155lb in 1986, and Derrick Hypes won
the Heavy Weight division in 1994.
